I CAN do it!!!

I've done my stretches after my ride back home.
I did it! I rode to church and back on my bicycle!

Going down to church was NOTHING. Bruce called me and I answered while riding down the hill - he thought I was on foot, so the wind noise confused him a lot...hehe!

Coming up back home was, well, worse than spinning with lemons and mangos etc.
I decided to imagine spinning with Riaan - I just couldnt close my eyes. I made it up the first part of the Blouhaak hill, but then my legs couldnt go further than I had already pushed them!

My head hurts from thawing to normal temperature. I'm sweating like a pig and need to eat, push dishes away and get to cell group!

Tremendous Tuesday

This morning started out great!
I got to the office just before eight and did devotions with a smile - loved the one title about gaining fat like gaining sin.."Prime rib every Sunday" Then we prayed for the day and then started the day by getting my papers in order and see the others fuss over an assignment.

I wrote my exam for GCS1030 this morning - not too bad and I did note not to share the paper with anyone else. Jean tried his best to no avail! After the exam I had coffee and noticed just how bad the coffee is that comes out the machine - those coffee beans are old and disgusting. I tried a bean yesterday and it was dry and tasted worse than other beans I have nibbled apon.

After my exam I decided to go fetch my passport. So I signed out at 11:30..
Bruce has introduced a time-in/time-out sheet to monitor our comings and goings..good idea!
I got in my car and turned the key only to find that the engine did not want to turn. So I pushed the car back, put the car in 4th gear and pushed forward...about an inch so it seemed. I tried again, but instead of starting, it kept trying to start. I popped the bonnet and sniffed around. Petrol was the smell of the moment. I went back to the office and signed in at 11:40.

I hear Carol wants to prank me for pranking the office about missing laptops -- yes, I know I took it too far. It just got out of hand so quickly and by Wednesday I was trying to think of a way to fix the situation... Jean was meant to find the computers by Tuesday, but I guess I was not counting on certain factors on Monday.

So I tried again, but nothing happened until I remembered that the only way to start the car in this situation is to try "flood" the engine, but keep the starter going. It started after about a minute. It sounded like a man recoverring after choking on a hairball! It is due for a service very, very soon.

I got to home affairs and stood in the line for around 30 minutes, but while I was waiting I overheard something VERY funny. Two older gentlemen were talking and the one said, "..I was in woolworths the other day and I noticed those army styled pants similar to the longs thing young lady has on." and he was pointing at me!!?!! I turned around and had a good deep manly laugh!

The photo on my passport looks hilarious! I should scan the photo so you can see. I look like a hobo!! It reminded me of an Afrikaans teacher I once had in high school - he also had long hair! My car has issues, but once I got back to the office, it was kinda running O-hic-K.

I think I'm going to get the study Bible from CUM in centurion - They have such a grand selection of books that far outweighs those of the Menlyn branches! I'll be starting Essential Bible Study Principles, course BIB1060, tonight.....I hope.I have till 5 June to hand in my assignment, but I have learnt the first time that leaving an assignment till the last is more of a waste of time. I want to do well in this subject too. I hunger for a study of the Bible, so this course should be right up my alley!!

I'm to do a puppet show on Saturday 17 May. Fifteen minutes long. I havent done a puppet show for about 5 years. I had better get started on a general plot. I even brought my puppet box from home - I must still check to see if the curtain mechanism works properly.

I have seen some real blind driving in the past few weeks. Disturbing at times, but irritating most of the time. It is after four and I think it would be best if I go home now. Fill up on petrol before it is too late... I'm now really considering riding my bike to church.....

The Truth

Last year round this same sort of time, I stayed up all night to
finish season one of Heroes. This night, on the day my computer fast
ended. On the day that I missed cell because of some images and a chat
room. On the night I didnt finish all my supper. On the night that I
decided to watch Heroes season two, I decided to put a stake in the
ground. I couldnt do it last year because I didnt know the effects of
not doing it. This year, I knew exactly what was going on. I knew that
if I didnt get on my knees and pray, I would slowly degenerate into
the person I would have become if it were not for God's grace. I stand
for Jesus. I stand for his grace and mercy. I will give all glory to
God. 2 Timothy 1:7 - I indeed do have that spirit God gave us. One day
others will see God through me. People will know God is almighty
through the person I am. To God be the glory, now and forever more!
